Bartenders who are just service beer and wine, don’t require proficiency in liquor brands and recipes, but they must know proper wine and beer pours and be efficient in providing drinks as ordered. They will be responsible to open and serve wine/champagne bottles and either open beers or pour from a draft keg. Setting up & maintaining cleanliness & condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, & other tools throughout service as well as stocking glassware, and paper supplies. Bartenders will transport supplies to the bar set-up area, and remove soiled wares from the bar top & tables. With a high attention to detail, they should anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Closing duties include liquor, beer and wine inventory counts and securing liquors, beers, wines, and coolers in cabinets and storage areas upon close of bar. Bartending with respect and hospitality towards customers is a must, and an outgoing personality is ideal for this position.
