Bartenders who are responsible for a full bar (beer, wine, and liquor) require proficiency in preparing a high volume of specialty cocktails (e.g. Martini, Manhattan, Old Fashion, Margaritas, etc.) and the ability to create specially cocktails and follow recipes. They set up & maintain the cleanliness & condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, & other tools. They also prepare fresh garnishes for recipes for drinks along with restocking ice, glassware, & paper supplies. Transporting supplies to the bar set-up area, and removing soiled wares from the bar top & tables & place in the designated area are also shift duties. With a high attention to detail, they should anticipate & communicate replenishment needs. Closing duties include liquor, beer and wine inventory counts and securing liquors, beers, wines, and coolers in cabinets and storage areas upon close of bar. Bartenders are some of the most customer-facing roles in Hospitalty. Service with respect and hospitality is a must, and an outgoing personality is ideal.
