They main responsibility is to open a station, prepare food according to Chef’s specifications, while maintaining food safety and sanitation practices. Because they are often customer-facing they must be presentable and maintain a clean and organized workstation. They also need to be able to use standard kitchen and catering equipment like butane burners, chafers, etc. Some Gigs may require customer service and guest interaction at a buffet or food station, so if you enjoy working events and have great people skills, this is the right role for you.
