New feature: Create an event for streamlined shift management

Caterers and event producers, our latest feature is for you! You can now create events on the Qwick platform. This feature allows you to post and organize all shifts related to an event together, and gives you an all-new event management page to execute bulk actions for all of the shifts related to the event. 

Whether you’re preparing for a wedding with many moving parts or a 3-day music festival, this feature will streamline your shift management and make it easy to know you have all of your event staffing needs covered in one place.

How to create an event 

  1. Click the Create New button, then select Event.

  2. Type in the name of the event, then continue through the shift posting flow as usual. It’s that simple! Now, all shifts that you add will be tied back to this event. (If there are existing shifts you want to add to the event as well, you can do so after the event is created.) 

Benefits of creating an event

Once your event shifts are posted, you can easily manage them from your event page. To get there, you can either… 

  1. Navigate to the Schedule tab and click on shifts that are part of the event, or…

  2. Click on the event tags shown on shifts in the upcoming shifts section of the Home page. 

Completing either of these actions will bring you to the event management page for the corresponding event. 

On the event management page, you can see an overview of all of your shifts tied to the event. Click the three dots to the right of the event name to edit the event, add shifts, or cancel the event.
